Backup Type

There are three backup types for the Back up MySQL databases to the SQL files task and the Back up MySQL databases to the other server task.

1. Full Backup
   The software will back up all selected items every time. The recovery is the fastest but the backup is the slowest compared with other backup types. It only requires the last full backup to restore the entire database.
2. Incremental Backup
   The software will back up all updated records from the selected items since the last full, differential or incremental backup. The backup is the fastest and it saves storage space but the recovery is the slowest compared with other backup types. When restoring from incremental backup, you need the last full backup and all?of the incremental backups you've made since the last full backup.
3. Differential Backup
   The software will back up all updated records from the selected items since the last full backup. The recovery is faster but the backup is slower than incremental backup. The backup is faster but the recovery is lower than full backup. The storage space requirements are lower than full backup but?higher than incremental backup. It only requires the last full backup and the last differential backup to restore the entire database.
